Install My eBay Listings Pro

My eBay Listings AI requires My eBay Listings Pro to be installed and active. If you haven't already, purchase and install Pro first, set up your eBay API credentials and confirm it's working.

Install My eBay Listings AI

After purchasing, download the my-ebay-listings-ai.zip file from your email or Freemius account. Install via WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.

The plugin will show an error and deactivate itself if My eBay Listings Pro is not active.

Get an AI API Key

You need an API key from either OpenAI or xAI. Both are pay-as-you-go with no monthly commitment.

OpenAI (recommended): Sign up at platform.openai.com/api-keys. Create a new secret key. Top up your credit — typical usage costs $3–10 per month.

xAI Grok: Sign up at console.x.ai. Create an API key.

Configure AI Settings

Go to WordPress Admin → Settings → eBay Listings → AI Search tab.

Select your AI provider, paste your API key, customise the placeholder text and button label, then click Save AI Settings.

Add the AI Search Shortcode

Add [ebay_ai] to any page or post. The AI search panel will appear with your Pro colour theme applied automatically.

Optional attributes:

[ebay_ai seller="hpstoreuk" cols="4" limit="40"]

seller — restrict results to a specific eBay seller's listings.
cols — number of card columns (1–6, default 4).
limit — maximum results per search (default 40).

Using AI Search with Pro Panel (Optional)

For the best experience, place the AI search panel directly above the Pro listings panel. They snap together flush with no gap.

The hide_search="yes" attribute hides the standard Pro search bar, so visitors only see the AI input. The Pro panel still handles rendering all results.

Test Your AI Search

Visit the page where you added [ebay_ai] and try a natural language search:

The AI interpretation bar below the search input shows what keywords, filters and sort order were used. If results look off, try rephrasing your query.
