OpenAI GPT-4o mini is recommended — it's fast, accurate and very affordable (fractions of a cent per search). xAI Grok is a solid alternative. Both are configured in Settings → eBay Listings → AI Search tab. You can switch providers at any time.

Very accurate for common requests. The AI is specifically prompted to extract eBay Browse API parameters — price ranges, conditions, locations and shipping. Queries like "gaming laptop under £400 free postage UK" or "used iPhone 15 Pro new sealed cheapest" are handled reliably. Complex or ambiguous queries may occasionally need rephrasing.

Yes — use the seller="yourusername" attribute on the [ebay_ai] shortcode. All AI searches will be scoped to that seller's listings only. This is ideal for eBay store owners.
